Bruce PeglowI come out of our Retail bakeries Bargaining Unit. I've worked in small retail bakeries for over 30 years. The last 20 were as a Union member employed by Jerry's Foods. I can well appreciate the challenges and concerns of our members in that unit.
I became active in the Union about 10 years ago having served as a committee person in several rounds of Retail negotiations. In the past I was shop steward, and also represented the Retail sector on the Executive Board.
Over the last several years I've served as your Vice-President, and have come to know the prevailing issues in our larger production facilities. Together we've seen a lot of favorable contracts negotiated, and I have realized that our real strength is in our solidarity. When we all stick together and speak with one voice management listens! I am dedicated to protecting and enforcing those agreements.
